But, we’ve kinda developed a groove. Lisa makes sure the cord stays out of my way and I just keep moving. She wipes my face and neck with an ice cold rag occasionally and urges me on with a peck on the cheek. I just listen to my Amazing Rhythm Aces Pandora station and sweat. It’s a pretty daunting task but I keep going knowing the final product will be worth all the work.
Lisa already mentioned our issue with the breakers and extension cords. I called my electrician pal B. J. Jones with DET and asked what we could do and he came over and supplied us with temporary 30 amp power. It worked well in the back but we had to use a 100′ extension cord to reach the front and it didn’t work. So,,, we’re gonna buy a more heavy duty extension cord tonight from Lowe’s and pray that works. I’ll keep you posted.
We are almost completely done sanding with the 36 grit sandpaper and will finish that tonight and start with the 80 grit. Hopefully, we’ll have it all sanded by Friday.
We are going to have to make some repairs to a few damaged areas, but we like the industrial look of the floors, so we aren’t sanding down to perfect.
One last thing. I found this little gem of an ad on line the other day. Thought I’d share.
